Armitage Shanks Bathrooms

Armitage Shanks is owned by Ideal Standard. Here is detail of a major new bathroom supply project in which Armitage Shanks is involved.

Armitage Shanks will be the sole provider of sanitary ware for the refurbishment of up to 40,000 homes in the Birmingham City framework Decent Homes Programme.

Involving a number of contractors, with Wates as one of the principal partners, the Decent Homes Programme aims for all social housing to meet standards of decency, set by the Government, by 2010.

In 2005, more than two thirds of Birmingham City Council’s homes failed to meet the standards. Armitage Shanks will provide baths, basins, WC’s, taps and showering products from its popular and attractive Sandringham, Alto, Space and Simplicity bathroom ranges. These bathroom ranges were chosen for the programme for several reasons, including design, lead time, price and quality. The carbon footprint was also a consideration in Armitage Shanks’ favour, the business being based in the West Midlands.

JADO
JADOis owned by Ideal Standard and provides exclusive and luxurious designer bath and kitchen products. It has launched a new range of bathroom fittings and accessories including a new collection designed by world-renowned architect Jean Nouvel, which uses an innovative digital sensor system for water and temperature control.

The Jean Nouvel collection is a one-of-a-kind, a distinctive range which reflects JADO’s vision to evolve bathrooms to the next level. Each piece in the range is completely battery driven so there are no mechanical handles or levers. Instead, there are four easy-to-use flat buttons, with fast response time which provide on/off functionality and regulate the water temperature and flow. Batteries can easily be changed and are located in a sealed, water-proof control box that is easily accessible.
